CES2006, Las Vegas, NV, USA - January 5, 2006 embWiSe Technologies, a start-up in Chennai , India has announced their SDIOWorx SD/SDIO stack support on ThreadX OS. embWiSe launched its ThreadX version of SDIOWorx today at the CES2006 in Las Vegas . The initial version of SDIOWorx on ThreadX is supported on an ARM9 Host Platform (Samsung's S3C2410) and is packaged with the SD/MMC Memory driver in Source Code and SDIO-WiFi driver (under a partnership arrangement with a couple of leading WLAN chipset/card vendors). With this embWiSe will be the first independent software vendor in the world to be offering an SDIO stack under ThreadX OS. embWiSe is a third party "ThreadX Connectivity Partner" of Express Logic Inc., ( http://rtos.com/page/?id=16 ) "Express Logic Inc., is a leading embedded OS vendor and ThreadX is the preferred OS of choice in Consumer Electronics devices with several design-ins in Digital Cameras, Photo Printers, etc., With more and more Consumer Electronics devices adding SD/SDIO functionality for storage and I/O - primarily for WiFi support, we are highly optimistic of our SDIOWorx for ThreadX bundled with SDIO-WiFi driver gaining acceptance in these Mobile CE devices' designs. We already have a few leading CPU and device vendors interested in our SDIOWorx for ThreadX.
